Why the Grey Goat Quilt Company Was Started
Why The Grey Goat Quilt Company was started. As many of know that the last 8 years have been really rough for me. To make a long story short, horses and ATV’s do not mix and because of this accident I have had to quite nursing. Therefore I lost my purpose in life. Fighting PTSD, depression and anxiety, also lost my way in life.
Talking to a very good friend one day, Jim Casement, who has helped me through some tough times. He said you love to sew would you please make my t-shirts into quilts, I said, “I would try”. So he gave me a plan and idea. So I asked him one day what I should name this business. Up came Angelic Threads Quilting, this represents the times in life when there were only “One Set of Footprints in the sand”. I loved the name and the meaning, I did name my business Angelic Threads Quilting but going to business planning meetings, something just clicked and I decided to change the name to The Grey Goat Quilt Company do to my LOVE of goats.
Thanks to my sister for starting me quilting 26 yrs ago. And to my very best friend and husband Leslie for putting up with me and my crazy ideas. Love all 3 of you very much!
